Keller Group plc Environment Policy

We are committed to helping our customers to meet their environmental needs and to reducing the impact of our operations on the natural environment.

We seek to work with our customers and the end users of our products and services to achieve environmentally sustainable solutions by:

  • offering a broad range of foundation solutions, including various low carbon alternatives;
  • offering techniques to improve ground and environmental conditions, such as flood control, soil erosion control, decontamination and containment of contamination;
  • helping customers to make informed choices by providing calculations to show the relative carbon footprints of alternative techniques; and
  • adopting sustainable sourcing practices and providing enhanced product information relating to material content and sources.

In our operations, we seek to reduce our environmental impacts and to eliminate environmental incidents by:

  • identifying, assessing and controlling environmental risks at our job sites and premises;
  • assessing environmental performance at our locations through regular structured inspections;
  • a commitment to the prevention of pollution;
  • complying with all relevant environmental legislation and regulation and, as far as is practicable, industry codes of practice and guidelines;
  • continually improving by the setting of objectives and targets for improvement; and
  • creating opportunities to: (i) reduce our consumption of energy, water and high carbon content materials; and (ii) minimise our waste and harmful emissions.

In all our activities, we seek progressively to improve our environmental performance by:

  • increasing employee awareness of the environmental impacts of their activities through training and ensuring that they know how to operate responsibly;
  • encouraging innovation and the sharing and adoption of best practice amongst our employees;
  • engaging with our key suppliers to support our energy efficiency and waste reduction goals; and
  • working with industry bodies to encourage greater reference to sustainability in codes and standards relating to foundation products.

The Keller Group plc Board is responsible for establishing the overall Environmental Policy for the Group and for reviewing the performance of the operating companies. Our Senior Managers are accountable for delivering environmental performance. They fully support the Policy and provide effective leadership within their businesses. All employees are responsible for following the policy with the support, direction and commitment of Senior Managers.
