Graduate Monitoring Surveyor
Purpose of the Role
Monitoring surveyor provides support to operations manager and project managers. The role is varied and includes interaction with the client and the public. The monitoring surveyor is responsible for the supply and installation of survey instrumentation, assists with project delivery and data presentation to the client.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in the management of contacts ensuring customer service, quality and Health and Safety are maintained to high standards.
Collection, processing and interpretation of monitoring survey data, CAD drafting, right choice of survey methodology.
Managing, recording and filing of data. Managing younger members of the team.
Liaise with designers and estimators to optimise site operations.
Be aware of safe working practice of site operations by implementing procedures to reduce / remove site and safety hazards.
Interpret clients drawings and make changes using AutoCAD
Be aware of estimates and designs’ compliance with the organisations’ health & safety policies and initiatives.
Understand and deliver the Client’s requirements and maintain communications between both parties and encourage repeat business.
Attending data meetings and providing information for the clients
Liaison between site supervisory staff and clients.
Assist in the management of operatives effectively to maximise performance and motivation.
Continuous Professional Development.

Have an awareness of site costs and ensure such costs are managed effectively with your remit.
Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnics, Land Surveying or similar
Excellent writing skills.
Proficient in AutoCAD
Excellent computer skills and high proficiency in Excel.
Good interpersonal skills at all levels .
Ability work under pressure.
Good fault finding skills and presentation skills.
Knowledge of surveying technics and best practices
IT literate including MS Word and Excel.
Full UK driving licence.
Basic StarNet, Leica GeoMos
London Underground Safety Training / Sentinel Card / PTS AC DC
Experience in Land Surveying or Geomatics
CSCS Card Holder.
Enthusiasm to progress and motivated to achieve ICE Chartered status.
Good communication and team working skills.
Ability to meet deadlines. Excellent time management.
Willingness to ask when in doubt or facing new situations.
Energetic and adaptable to fast paced environment.
Possesses sound judgement and able to make decisions without all the facts.
Flexibility to carry out duties not part of the normal remit in the interests of the team
