On behalf of the Bauer / Keller joint venture, Keller are recruiting for a Hire Controller Apprentice.

Location: Southam

 

Purpose of the Role

To assist in the day to day operations of the BKJV procurement department.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

 

Operations   

Support the Purchasing and Logistics team in delivering an excellent service.

To follow contracts programmes for the Joint Venture and ensure timely provision of specified equipment and supplies for the Project.

To be able to adapt quickly and efficiently to programme requirements.

To ensure arrangements are in place to transport rigs and site equipment to sites.

To raise and manage orders.

To expedite scheduled deliveries by liaising with suppliers.

To track on-hire reports and collection of off-hired items.

To monitor and record supplier performance.

To support the Procurement & Logistics function as required.

Report and track breakdowns with Suppliers, expedite to a timely conclusion

Compile NRMM data by liaising with Plant Hire Suppliers

Co-ordinate planned maintenance between site and Plant Hire Suppliers

Liaise with Plant Hire Depots and build relationships to assist with this

 

Customer      

Deal in a professional manner providing service and support to contracts teams in meeting the needs of the contracts.

Actively interact within the Joint Venture team and with all stakeholders in a professional manner.

Maintain a good relationship with Plant and Accounts departments.

 

Finance        

Support the provision of goods and services within budget on each project.

Accurately track the whereabouts of all hired plant items, ensuring they are costed to the correct site/area

Check and manage invoices where appropriate whilst maintaining and adhering to internal procedures.

           

Experience/Skills/Qualifications/Personal Attributes

 

Minimum      

GCSE’s in Maths and English Grade C or above.

To be organised by nature.

To be able to use own initiative.

To be confident, and have excellent, assured communication skills both verbally and written.

Have the ability to adapt and amend work load priorities in a regularly changing environment.

Excellent IT skills – Microsoft packages including Outlook, Excel, Word. Training will be given on EVision (Purchasing software).

 

Desirable      

GCSE in ICT Grade C or above.

Numerical accuracy and good oral communication is very important.

Ambition to commence college studies on a hire controller related course.
