Keller Ltd are recruiting for industrial placement engineers to join our core business.

Purpose of the Role

Undergraduates joining Keller can develop early responsibility in fast moving concept and contract design, tendering and negotiation and/or site management with responsibility for daily technical control, quality assurance, health and safety, programme control and customer liaison.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

 

Operations

Assist in the management of contacts ensuring customer service, quality and Health and Safety are maintained to high standards.

Liaise with designers and estimators to optimise site operations.

Be aware of safe working practice of site operations by implementing procedures to reduce / remove site and safety hazards.

Interpret clients drawings and make changes using AutoCAD.

Be aware of estimates and designs’ compliance with the organisations’ health & safety policies and initiatives.

 

Customer

Understand and deliver the Client’s requirements and maintain communications between both parties and encourage repeat business.

 

People

Assist in the management of operatives effectively to maximise performance and motivation.

Continuous Professional Development.

Work to and actively embed “The Keller Way”.

Comply with, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in accordance with Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement (FREDIE) principles.

 

Finance

Have an awareness of site costs and ensure such costs are managed effectively with your remit.

Experience/Skills/Qualifications/Personal Attributes

 

Minimum

Working towards a degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering/Engineering Geology.

IT literate including MS Word, Excel and AutoCAD.

Full UK driving licence.

CSCS Card Holder.

 

Desirable

Student member of the ICE.

 

Personal Attributes

Enthusiasm to progress and motivated to achieve ICE Chartered status.

Good communication and team working skills.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Willingness to ask when in doubt or facing new situations.

Energetic and adaptable to fast paced environment.

Possesses sound judgement and able to make decisions without all the facts.

Flexibility to carry out duties not part of the normal remit in the interests of the team.
