Quantity Surveyor - BKJV

On Behalf of the Bauer / Keller joint venture, Keller are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor.

Location: Brackley


Purpose of the Role          

To provide a full quantity surveying function within a project Joint Venture environment in line with the commercial guidelines employed within the Keller Group of companies and those relevant to our specific JV obligations.


Key Roles and Responsibilities



Administer contractual terms and conditions for suppliers and sub-contractors.

Administer incentivisation arrangements as appropriate (NEC experience is essential) .

Support the assessment of EWN's and compensation events.

Provide regular cash flow forecast of expenditure for package.

Report expenditure against the package budget on a monthly basis.

Finalise contractor's accounts and close out contracts for the project.

Raising consultant, supplier or contractor instructions as necessary for signature by approved parties.

Assist the package project manager in resolving all financial commercial issues.

Review all instructions issued by the project manager for cost implications.

Support the change control process and assist in identifying the cost implications of any proposed changes.

Responsibility for tendering documentation, procurement and payment of sub-contractors and where appropriate suppliers.

Commercial support and advice to office management.



Understand and deliver the client’s requirements, encouraging repeat business.

Promote cross and joint selling across all Keller divisions.

Prepare and assist in monthly valuations

Agreeing Final Accounts.

Execute warranties and bonds in line with company procedures.


Experience/Skills/Qualifications/Personal Attributes



Proven experience or specialist contractor experience in a commercial role.

IT literate in Excel, Word and accounts packages.

Full UK driving licence.



Professional Membership of e.g. ICE/RICS/CIOB.

Prior experience in piling/ground engineering sector.

Quantity Surveying Degree.

Flexibility to carry out duties not part of the normal remit in the interests of the team.
