Operations Director / Managing Director
Purpose of the Role
To provide a full quantity surveying/commercial function to the three regions as required and to contribute to the delivery of the annual budget.
Based in the Cheltenham office, visits to sites and other offices will be required as part of the role.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Subcontract document review, negotiation and agreement of formal contract documents.
Maximisation of income and claim entitlements on broad range of subcontract types.
Responsibility for enquiry documentation, procurement and payment of sub-contractors and where appropriate suppliers.
The review, agreement and administration of warranty documents, PCG’s and bonds.
Continual commercial support and advice to contract management / work winning teams either remotely or via regular office visits.
Support the regions in winning work and attend pre-tender or pre-contract meeting when required.
Understand and deliver the clients requirements, encouraging repeat business.
Promote cross and joint selling across all Keller divisions.
Contribute to continuous improvement in commercial awareness of work winning and contracts personnel.
Contribute to sharing best practice across other divisions by liaising with other commercial staff.
Uphold and safeguard the organisations values and philosophy relating to ethics, integrity, corporate and social responsibility.

Prepare and assist in monthly valuations for contracts.
Assist & prepare (as required) in the evaluation of variation claims & defence of contras/counter claims.
Monthly commercial reporting of margins or losses across contracts to management.
Maximising cash flow and assisting with debt control by working with credit control team.
Agreeing final accounts.
Main or Specialist Subcontractor experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
Quantity Surveying Degree.
IT literate in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and accounts packages.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Professional Membership of e.g. ICE/RICS.
Working Towards Professional Membership.
CSCS card holder.
Self-sufficient, requiring only remote support.
Flexibility to carry out duties not part of the normal remit in the interests of the team.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
Good time management skills.
Possesses an attention to detail.
