Keller Academy comes to the UK

Staff from across Europe have been attending the first Keller Academy courses to be held in the UK.

The academy was set up in 2012 to improve the skills of geotechnical engineers but since then it has grown to encompass many more areas of the business. It is part of the company’s commitment to invest in its employees.

Judith Hoffmann, EMEA HR business partner, said: “Keller is committed to developing its staff and helping them to acquire new skills to benefit themselves, the business and our clients. But the academy also allows our people to network and share knowledge.

“That’s why we always ensure we have a group of people from different areas of the business, different business units and cultures.

Training is normally held at the company’s EMEA divisional headquarters in Offenbach, Germany but such was the demand from UK staff to learn new skills it made sense to hold the training in this country.

A dozen delegates from six business units took part in the first of several management training courses to be held over the summer. The others will cover areas such as sales, finance and leadership.

“We’re really proud to welcome our EMEA colleagues to the UK. It’s a fantastic opportunity to them to meet people from other businesses and share best practice,” said Am Ingham, Keller UK’s HR and Training Manager.
