King Post Retaining Walls | Keller United Kingdom

King Post Retaining Walls

King Post Walls are a simple and quick installation method comprising drilling a hole with a high powered CFA piling rig and then filling it with concrete and installing an H beam. This allows concrete pre-stressed panels or sleepers to be inserted between the webs of the H sections, which after excavation results in the finished embedded retaining wall.

King Post walls may be used for many different retention applications and heights in different ground conditions, including rock. We can use rigs with double rotary heads which can bore most soil and rock types. They are particularly suited to situations where a wall is to be installed from the lower level, avoiding forming a high level piling mat.

Applications are numerous including basements, embankment retention and flood defence walls
